Black History Workshop

On Thursday 22nd October 2020, Year 4 had a virtual workshop with Lorna Gayle. She spoke to the children more about Olive Morris. They found it interesting to learn that Olive Morris stood up for a Nigerian Diplomat when she was only 16. The police were arresting the man because he drove a nice car. The children had the opportunity to ask questions and also share what they would say, as a member of parliament, to help bring an end to racism.

We had a great afternoon.

World Mental Health Day

Dear Year 4,

Today is World Mental Health Day! We will look at this more next week.

Over the last few weeks, we have learned about healthy lifestyles in PSHE lessons. We know how to keep our bodies healthy, but do we know to keep our minds healthy?

We have created a book list full of stories that can support you with managing your mental health: Mental Health Book List Sep 2020

Remember- you are not alone! Everyone has good and bad days.

Let us know if you have any recommendations.

Best wishes,

The Year 4 Team
